These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between the client and Housing Bank for Trade and Finance and apply to the client and/or any other person authorized by the client to use the wallet-based cards. The client must carefully review the terms of use before adding or using any wallet-based card, and by doing so, the client agrees to comply with the terms of use.
The terms of use are to be read in conjunction with the terms and conditions of banking services via the app, the terms and conditions of online banking services, accounting services, the terms and conditions of operating Housing Bank for Trade and Finance cards on Google Pay, and the terms and conditions of the credit card, In case of any conflict between these terms and conditions and the terms of use by google , these terms of use shall prevail.
1. Client shall be aware of the following:• In case of having any complaint, then he/she may contact the customer complaint unit through any of the following means of communication:

- Complaints of lawsuits being litigated at before court or ones where a ruling has been issued / complaints related to employment and labor unions cases / complaints not containing pursuer name or information / complaints related to anti-money laundering and terrorism funding cases / clients’ enquiries and suggestions / complaints containing clear abuse and/or words of threat or defamation / complaints that are already submitted and responded to, unless containing new issues that may be reviewed / complaints submitted in other than the means of communications mentioned in this section
• That responding to the complaint shall be over the phone unless client requests specific mean for receiving response upon complaint submission
• That the bank has the right to notify the client of extending the period necessary for responding to the complaint, where such extension shall not exceed thirty days as of the date of complaint’s submission.
2. Definitions:
Bank: Housing Bank for Trade and Finance.
Customer: The natural person holding a card issued by Housing Bank for Trade and Finance.
Card: Means a credit, debit, or prepaid card issued by Housing Bank for Trade and Finance to the customer which is not expired, blocked, suspended, or cancelled.
Device: Includes any smartphone, tablet, smartwatch, or any other device compatible with the wallet system without limitation, as determined by Housing Bank for Trade and Finance to be eligible for registering Housing Bank for Trade and Finance cards for use within the wallet system and compatible to use Google Pay.
Wallet: The mobile payment service and wallet service available through a third party that allows users to make payments using specific devices and cards registered on those devices.
Passcode: The secret code required to unlock any device, including a password, pattern lock, or identity-specific code (as applicable).
Google Pay: Is a service and trademark owned by Google Inc..
3. General Provisions
- The client shall be solely responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the device, the confidentiality of device lock, personal identification number, password, and other wallet access methods, or Card credentials, or any personal information or other payment information regarding the device. If the device and/or access methods are shared with any person, that person may be able to use the Cards and access personal and payment information available in the wallet system. The client should maintain the security and safety of the device and personal identification data with the same care as they would protect their cash, cheques, debit or credit Card, and other personal identification numbers and passwords.
- The terms governing the client’s Card do not change when the Card is added to the wallet; it provides the client with an additional method of carrying out transactions using the Card.
- Any benefits, transfer fees, charges, or costs applied to the customer's Card will also apply when using the wallet to access their Card. The wallet service provider and other third parties such as wireless carriers or data service providers may impose fees as determined by them, and the customer shall bear those fees without any liability on the bank.
4. Adding and removing Housing Bank for Trade and Finance Cards
- The customer can add their Cards issued by Housing Bank for Trade and Finance to the wallet by following the wallet provider's instructions.
- Only Cards are eligible to be added to the wallet, and if the Card or account has poor performance, the Card will not be eligible for registration in the wallet.
- When a Card is added to the wallet, the wallet will allow the customer to use the Card for transactions at locations where the wallet is accepted; the wallet may not be accepted at all locations that accept Housing Bank for Trade and Finance Cards.
- The customer should contact the wallet service provider to learn how to remove the Card from the wallet or contact the call center.
- Bank can also suspend the Card in the wallet at any time at the Customer's request.
5. Privacy and security
- Housing Bank for Trade and Finance will not be responsible for any loss incurred by the Customer using the wallet, unless the direct and sole cause is gross negligence and/or willful misconduct by the bank.
- In case of fraud, loss, or theft of the device, the Customer is immediately obliged to inform the bank of such loss or theft, as well as other parties such as the telecommunications service provider and others. Following this notification, the bank will arrange to stop all wallet transactions for the Cards. Nevertheless, the Customer will still be able to use the regular plastic Card for all those Cards registered with the wallet and will indemnify the bank for any claims, costs, fees, or losses related to any transactions affected using the Customer’s device before notifying the bank of the fraud, loss, theft, or request to block the Card.
- The bank reserves, at its sole discretion, the right to refuse to allow any transaction if it suspects that there has been a breach of the terms of use, fraud, or illegal activity.
- When adding a Card to the wallet system, the bank collects certain information from the Customer to verify their identity to enable the Customer to use the Card and facilitate wallet subscription.
- The bank requests specific account information related to each Card the Customer selects for use with the wallet system, including data from the most recent transaction, but not the full Card account number, and the Customer also agrees that the bank may periodically collect and use technical data and related information, including, but not limited to, technical information about the Customer's device to facilitate service updates, and the bank may use this information to improve its products or provide services or technologies as long as it does not personally identify the Customer.
- You may receive notifications from the wallet system detailing Card account activity, and if the Customer does not wish to receive notifications, they can disable them in the device notification settings or the wallet system application settings.
- The client must cooperate with the bank in all investigations and work to use any measures related to fraud prevention or otherwise as advised by the bank.
- The client alone bears full responsibility for protecting their Cards, wallet transactions and any other information on their device in the event of loss or sale of the device to any third party or other person.
- In case of a breach of device confidentiality or the passcode, the client shall be fully and solely responsible and shall bear all fees, costs, losses and damages of any kind resulting from such a breach. If the client intentionally or unintentionally discloses the passcode, the client must compensate the bank for any unauthorized payment, fees, costs, losses or any transaction affected due to such a breach.
- The Customer must immediately notify the bank if the PIN has been compromised or disclosed to another person or entity and the Customer must request the bank to block the Card due to such compromise or disclosure and indemnify the bank for any loss, damage, fee, or expense the bank incurs because of such compromise.
- If the Customer has any questions, disputes or complaints regarding the wallet, please contact the wallet service provider using the information provided to you by the supplier, and if the Customer has any questions, disputes or complaints
- regarding the Card, they can contact the bank immediately using the number printed on the back of the Card.
- By accepting these terms, the Customer consents to the Bank to store, process, and share their personal data with Google in order to enable the Customer to benefit from the Google Pay services.
6. Suspension of Google Pay services and amendment of terms
- Housing Bank for Trade and Finance has the right to terminate or modify the terms of use or any part thereof at any time, and the Customer cannot change these terms once notified. The Customer has the right to reject the terms and conditions at any time by removing all Cards from the wallet, without affecting what has been accepted prior to removal.
- The client accepts and acknowledges that it is their responsibility to read and understand the terms of use and accepts and acknowledges that it is their responsibility to read and understand the updated terms of use on the bank's website or any other communication site available to everyone.
- If the Bank deems it necessary to protect the Customer’s security.
- The Banks sees increased risks of the Customer being unable to pay any money they own to the Bank.
- Google Pay is no longer available to the Bank’s Customers.
- Changes is regulations affecting the Bank.
7. Bank responsibility
- Housing Commercial and Finance Bank is not the wallet provider and is not responsible for providing the wallet service to the Customer; the bank is only responsible for securely providing information to the wallet provider to enable the Customer's use of the Card through the wallet.
- The bank is not responsible for any wallet failures or inability to use the wallet for any transaction.
- The bank is not responsible for the performance or non-performance of the wallet provider or any other party in respect of any agreement you enter with the wallet service provider or related party relationships that may affect your use of the wallet. You also understand that Google Pay service is made available through Google, and the Bank has no control on the service and is not responsible for any service or failure of Google Pay.
8. Correspondence
- The client agrees to receive emails and disclosures from Housing Bank for Trade and Finance regarding their Cards and wallet and agrees that Housing Bank for Trade and Finance may contact the client via the client's email on file with the bank or by SMS to the phone number registered on the client's account. Contact details may include those of companies acting on your behalf to service the accounts. You agree to update your contact information with us as soon as it changes.
9. The license
- The virtual Card display is licensed for use by the Customer only under the terms of use, and the bank retains all third-party rights not expressly granted to the Customer.
- The client is granted a non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, non-transferable, personal, and limited license to install and use the codes and other credential information associated with the Card solely for conducting payment transactions on the device in accordance with the terms of use, and the license is limited to any device owned or controlled by the client and as permitted under any applicable third-party agreements.
- The client must not lease, hire, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense any right to use any Card credentials in the wallet system.
- The client hereby agrees that the virtual Card display in the clearing system or credit information may be updated or enhanced without notice. The bank may, at any time, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, expand, reduce, or suspend the Card or any permitted transaction fees using the Card with the wallet system.
10. Third-party agreements and support
- These terms of use are solely between the bank and the Customer and may apply to third-party services including the wireless carrier and other applications or websites integrated within the wallet system, each with their own third-party agreements, and such third-party agreements may govern when you provide those third parties with personal information to use their services or visit their applications or websites, or as otherwise governed by the current circumstances. The bank shall not be responsible for the security, accuracy, correctness, suitability, or any other aspect of the content or performance of third-party products or services.
- It is the client's responsibility to read and understand any third-party agreements before adding or using the Card through the wallet system. By using Google Pay you agree to any changes on third-party agreements that may affect your use of Google Pay.
- The bank will not be responsible for third party transactions, nor will it provide any support or assistance for any third-party device, software, products, or other services. If there are any issues or questions regarding a third-party product or service, including matters related to the operation of the device and transactions initiated using other banks’ cards in the wallet please contact the third party concerned according to their procedures for Customer support and assistance.
11. Applicable law and jurisdiction- The terms of use are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for any matters related thereto. Nevertheless, Housing Bank for Trade and Finance may resort to any other courts or judicial authority.
• The terms of use are drafted in a bilingual text (Arabic / English), and in case of any conflict between the Arabic and English text, the
Arabic text shall prevail.
