The Housing Bank has participated in the Second Arab Capital Markets Conference organized by the Jordan Securities Commission in cooperation with the Union of Arab Securities Authorities, at Fairmont Hotel in Amman, under the title "Enhancing Transparency and Innovation in Arab Capital Markets".

 The conference, which was held from 27-28 March, was attended by representatives of the Housing Bank, along with government officials, financial and economic policy makers in the Arab world, leaders of Arab and regional financial institutions, as well as financial intermediaries, experts and financial analysts.

The Housing Bank's participation and sponsorship of this key regional event reflects its role in promoting Jordan as a key financial center and safe investment haven, in addition to highlighting the importance of the conference and its discussions as financial markets play an important role in achieving economic growth by aggregating national savings and turning them into appropriate investment channels by providing data that underlines the most prominent investment opportunities available to Arab and foreign investors.

The discussion papers and the two-day conference sessions focused on the latest developments in Arab capital markets, especially with regard to technical and technological developments, as well as corporate governance, financial inclusion, mutual investment funds, and the role of regulatory bodies in employing these developments to support transparency in Arab capital markets, with the aim to increase confidence in the general investment climate, as well as present investment opportunities and review the most important national achievements in terms of economic, financial and legislative reforms.
