The Housing Bank has realized the dreams of a number of children of the King Hussein Cancer Center under the Dreams Come True program launched by the King Hussein Cancer Foundation to provide psychological support to patients as part of the holistic treatment it provides to its patients. The Bank's support stems from its sense of responsibility towards its country and commitment to be present and participate in various community activities that are in line with the Bank's social responsibility strategy.
To raise the morale of sick children and mark the International Childhood Cancer Day, which is celebrated annually on 15 February, the Housing Bank CEO Ammar Al-Safadi visited King Hussein Cancer Center and distributed gifts to a number of sick children, according to their wishes, leaving a positive impact on the children and their families. Al-Safadi expressed his joy at the Bank's involvement in realizing the wishes of sick children, and praised the efforts of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, saying: "The Housing Bank is proud of its continuous support to and collaboration with this leading medical institution among other international hospitals and medical institutions in its mission to provide the most advanced healthcare services through a team of experienced and highly qualified medical and nursing staff."
Al-Safadi explained that the Bank's social activities prioritize healthcare initiatives that are in line with its social responsibility strategy, by supporting the programs and activities that support the healthcare sector, and aiding organizations and commissions that are concerned with medical and healthcare services.
As part of its social responsibility strategy, the Housing Bank is committed to sponsoring, supporting and participating in many of King Hussein Cancer Center's programs and activities. The Bank sponsors the annual October Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, and has been the exclusive sponsor of the Breast Cancer Media Competition for seven consecutive years. Additionally, the Bank is part of the Naming and Recognition program through its donation to establish a new intensive care room in the new buildings of King Hussein Cancer Center.
