The Housing Bank has sponsored the 55th Annual International Diplomatic Bazaar of Mabarrat Um Al-Hussein, which was held under the patronage of HRH Princess Basma bint Talal, with the participation of more than 50 Arab and foreign embassies and diplomatic missions accredited to the Royal Hashemite Court, as part of the Bank's social responsibility strategy.
The Housing Bank's sponsorship of this annual Bazaar comes in recognition of the role of Mabarrat Umm Al-Hussein, which was founded by the late Queen Zein Al-Sharaf in 1958, in offering social, educational, psychological, social and legal support to children, in addition to providing them with the necessary material support, counseling, and training.
The money raised from the Bazaar, which took place at Al-Hussein Youth City with the participation of several diplomatic missions accredited to the Royal Hashemite Court, will be used to provide accommodation, as well as educational, health, social, recreational, and counseling services to the children of Mabarrat Um Al-Hussein, including orphans and children suffering from family breakdown, between the ages of 6 and 18 years old.
The Housing Bank allocates a large part of its social responsibility programs to support charities and non-profit organizations that provide services to the less fortunate in the society. The Bank also supports initiatives that positively affect the society, embodying the true meanings of charitable work that aims to promote the values of compassion, solidarity and mutual support among all individuals and segments of the society
