Housing Bank offers the Diamond Sponsorship to the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature in Planting 2,000 Trees

The Housing Bank, the most widespread bank in Jordan, announced its diamond sponsorship of the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature. This is part of its social responsibility program related to the protection of the environment and in support of national efforts to increase green areas to enhance food security in the Kingdom.

The Housing Bank has supported the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN) for several years, believing in the importance of its mission and objectives to increase food security through planting trees in underprivileged and rural areas. By planting trees on Jordanian farms and increasing green areas, this provides job opportunities and a source of income for Jordanian farmers, as well as contributing to environmental preservation, enhancing the ability to adapt to climate change, reducing carbon dioxide emissions, reducing pollution and desertification, and protecting land from erosion and drought.

Through its Iskan Giving Team, the bank will enable its employees to participate in the tree planting campaigns to plant 2,000 trees throughout the year, in collaboration with APN. This contributes to developing their societal values and enhances the spirit of loyalty and belonging.

This sponsorship is consistent with the bank’s interest in preserving the environment and the implementation of environmental sustainability practices in its various operations and aspects. In addition to promoting biodiversity as an integral part of the sustainable development process, the bank, during its time, supported the creation of public parks, green development and afforestation projects, clean-up, and environmental conservation campaigns within its various social responsibility programs.

The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature is an independent non-profit NGO, that was founded in 2003 with the aim of protecting natural resources considering the increasing challenges and dangers they face as a result of conflict, war and occupation, through the contributing efforts made to protect the environment in the Arab world and coordinating with all Arab and international bodies and organizations to this end.
