The Housing Bank Sponsors the Cyber Security and Bank Stability Challenges & Digital Forensic Readiness Forum

The Housing Bank- the most widespread bank in Jordan - sponsored the Cyber Security and Bank Stability Challenges & Digital Forensic Readiness Forum as part of its strategy aimed at supporting and sponsoring economic and banking affairs activities and conferences. The forum was held during February 22-23 under the patronage of the Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan, Dr. Adel Al Sharkas.

The Housing Bank gives great importance to supporting conferences and seminars specialized in the banking sector that shed light on the latest global trends in this sector, especially innovation in financial technology which is considered the future of the banking sector.

The forum, which was organized by the Union of Arab Banks in cooperation with the Association of Banks in Jordan, aims to create a high-level platform for exchanging expertise and experiences between experts and cybersecurity staff at the local, Arab and international levels from the banking sector in particular, to meet the challenges related to cybersecurity, reduce its repercussions, and develop solutions and keep it under control. In addition to enhancing the efficiency of the Arab banking system and keeping up with global developments.

The forum highlighted the most prominent cybersecurity risks facing economic institutions, the most prominent potential weaknesses in the technology infrastructure, how to enhance cybersecurity of banks, and the impact of electronic attacks on banks and the banking system in general, in addition to the recommendations of the Basel Committee on cybersecurity risks.

On the sidelines of the forum, a high-level professional meeting was held to deepen the knowledge of cybersecurity staff in Arab banks and financial institutions, as well as public sector institutions, about modern technologies used by hackers to penetrate the information systems of banks and other modern institutions.
