For the ninth consecutive year, the Housing Bank, one of the largest and most widespread banks in Jordan, has sponsored the launch of the 11th Breast Cancer Awareness competition in Jordan.
The competition was launched during a press conference held at Sheraton Amman Al Nabil Hotel, on 22 September, by King Hussein Cancer Center's Director General, Dr. Asem Mansour, with the presence of representatives from the Housing Bank, members of the press and social media influencers.
The competition is aimed at promoting the role of the media and social media influencers in raising public awareness of the symptoms, risk factors and early detection methods of breast cancer through the publication of targeted content across print, audiovisual and social media channels.
As part of its contribution to sustainable philanthropic and humanitarian work, and continued commitment to the local community, the Housing Bank is a key supporter of the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Competition, believing in the role of this competition in encouraging women to conduct early breast cancer screenings, thus improving their chances of treatment and recovery. The competition also serves as a platform to highlight the role of the media in creating content people can relate to, keeping the public aware of the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.
