The Housing Bank and Tkiyet Um Ali have renewed their joint cooperation agreement as a continuation of their efforts to support sustainable development initiatives within the Kingdom.

The agreement was signed by the Housing Bank Chief Executive Officer Ammar Safadi, and Tkiyet Um Ali General Manager Samer Balqar, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.

Commenting on the signing of the agreement, Safadi stated: "The Housing Bank, and as part of its corporate social responsibility goals, attaches utmost importance to supporting institutions and programs that aim to achieve social justice through serving and supporting disadvantaged groups in society." He further stressed the pivotal role played by Tkiyet Um Ali and its efforts in implementing social solidarity initiatives that combat hunger and food poverty.

"This partnership reflects our commitment and desire to support and participate in various humanitarian and philanthropic activities and to partner with institutions whose mission is to help local community members" added Safadi.

Tkiyet Um Ali General Manager, Samer Balqar, thanked the Housing Bank for its support over the past few years, stating: "We thank the Housing Bank for its corporate social responsibility endeavours, and appreciate its continued support for Tkiyet Um Ali programmes that contributes to our vision of attaining a Jordan free of poverty." He further added: "Tkiyet Um Ali is particularly interested in enhancing all cooperation prospects with private sector institutions, stemming from its belief that all stakeholders should be involved in supporting Tkiyet Um Ali's goals and sustainable food assistance programs."

At present, Tkiyet Um Ali delivers monthly, sustainable food assistance to 40,000 families living below the food poverty line across all governorates of the Kingdom, which comprise 200,000 individuals.
