For the fifth consecutive year, Housing Bank issued its Sustainability Report for 2021 under the title "Empowering Tomorrow", emphasizing the importance of enhancing the sustainability approach and establishing lasting relationships with all its stakeholders.
The report, adopted by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), highlights Housing Bank's contributions and achievements over the past year in the social, economic, and environmental spheres, and its tireless efforts to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (SDGs).
The report also speaks of Housing Bank's tireless efforts to become one of the most sustainable companies in the Kingdom, through its adoption of sustainability in its institutional culture, its business strategy, and in all company activities.
The report showed that Housing Bank recorded several positive indicators in 2021, including a 26.5% increase in the number of transactions made through their mobile application, as well as an 8% reduction in its total energy consumption compared to last year, reducing greenhouse gas emission intensity per employee by 20%, and increasing the proportion of recycled paper from the bank's total paper consumption to 59.8%.
It should be noted that Housing Bank has been documenting the efforts of environmental and social practices and corporate governance since 2017 when the Bank's first sustainability report was issued.
